BGL's Black Women Wellness Week

Black Girls Link (BGL) is hosting our first ever Black Women Wellness Week (BWWW) event series. We want to make sure that YOU start the year off right! During the BWWW, we will host events that aim to empower professional Black women to level up in their careers, finances, physical health, and goals in 2022.

On Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 7 PM EST, Rhonda Joy McLean, a co-author of “The Little Black Book of Success: Laws of Leadership for Black Women,” will be discussing her book and how it teaches Black women to be leaders at any level of their career all while dealing with stereotypes. We’re giving away free copies of her book! The 10 lucky giveaway winners will be announced at the end of the event. You must register and attend the event to qualify.

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 7 PM EST, Janae Anderson, a licensed financial professional, will be speaking at our “Secure the Bag: Budgeting, Saving, and Life Insurance” event. She will be discussing how professional Black women can become financially secure for the future. She will be covering topics like life insurance, budgeting (daily & long-term), saving, and investing.

On Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 7 PM EST, during our “Black Girl Fit” event Querencia Joshua and Aaliyah Jackson, owners of BGFCO, will be discussing the importance of physical health and wellness, including nutrition and fitness. Start the year off right, by prioritizing your physical health and fitness. Learn how to create a meal plan and workout plan that works for you!

Due to the increase of Covid variant cases, we have decided to do our vision board party virtually. So join us for our 2022 Virtual Vision Board Party on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2 PM EST as we write the vision and make it plain. Let’s get inspired and set intentions for our future goals in 2022! For FREE vision board supplies RSVP by Thursday, January 20 when you register on Eventbrite. The vision board supplies can be picked up at Rise Radio (57 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11206) on Saturday, January 22 from 2:00 - 3:30 PM EST. For those of you outside of the NYC area, please come with your own supplies and join us virtually.
